Be Alert to the Promptings of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a Person who dwells in you when you accept Christ as your Savior.
The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and will verify the words and ways of Jesus. The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness, Paul on his travels and wants to guide you.
The Holy Spirit will act like an alarm system that will go off when you approach evil or evil approaches you.
This alarm system is most often a still small voice that prompts you to do something or not to do something. The question is, will you obey His promptings? When you recognize that “check” in your spirit, you need to immediately obey.
Though we are indwelt with the Holy Spirit at salvation we need to be continuously filled with the Spirit. We are sinful and leaky vessels.
His Holy Spirit verifies with your spirit that you are a child of God. If you are following His leading, you can mature and develop the character of Christ. He will comfort you in all your afflictions.
Will you be filled with the Holy Spirit and obey His promptings? You’ll be glad you did.
